Developer v/s Tester

Software Development is a systematic process includes Feasibility Study, Requirement Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and Implementation & maintenance. Throughout the Software development so many ppl work on the project as a team but two most key player who cm in to view are Developer and Tester.

Requirement gathering designing are the basic things which r necessarily flawless that's why software development required a Team but Developer and Tester have their own importance.

Now i m going to compare these two Team Players.

Often a battle of many rounds, the tester is seen as the anti-developer, with the developer standing for creation and the tester the destroyer of the developers work.

A Developer when start coding, he think most abt the code should fulfill the functionality. Developer think a very little abt Quality of Software.

When an application works well all credit goes to developers, not the testers but when an application doesn't work well having lots of bugs, every one blame testers, not the developers.

A developer can't be a gud tester because he never think abt flaws in his code. That's why most of the companies recruit testers.

A developer need not to understand the requirement from the basic but he need to understand the part of it and write the code to develop the application. But to test that application tester needs to understand all the requirements what a end user required.

The developers mind set is one of creation whereas the tester is one of destruction.

These two r complementary to each other..
